Lorelie Lacson
Administrative Assistant
Lorelie is Dr. Qian's Administrative Assistant, providing support for the Qian Lab. Lorelie can be reached at lorelie.lacson@sunnybrook.ca for inquires such as recruitment, information about the lab, and more. Lorelie joined SRI August 2019 and is enjoying her time in research. During her leisurely time, she enjoys reading books by Stephen King, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Yingjie Lai
PhD Student
Yingjie got her H. BSc. from the University of Toronto. Her current research interests include tumor-microenvironment tissue imaging, and immune cell metabolites imaging. Outside the lab, she loves music (Guzheng, Jazz, R&B), acrylic painting, hiking, plants, dogs and cats.
Lauren Eng
Undergraduate Student
Lauren is a fourth year undergraduate student at UBC studying Biology. She is currently working as a summer student at Sunnybrook under Dr. Qian and Dr. Leong, studying liquid biopsies in cancer.
Christian Lai
PhD Student
Christian earned his undergraduate and Master degrees in the University of Toronto. During his Master, he received extensive wet training related to cancer pathogenesis. He joined Qian Lab in 2024 April, and is currently exploring the potential of Raman spectroscopy in predicting cancer drug-responses. Outside the lab, he likes watching animation and fishing.
Sicong (Jonathon) Zhou
Undergraduate Student
Sicong is a fourth year undergraduate student. His research interest is to investigate neuronal communications by neuroimaging and computational methods. He is now working on training prediction models for label-free imaging by stimulated Raman scattering microscopy. Outside of the lab, he loves playing some music and watching dramas.
